Vanessa Marcil has remained friends with Maurice Benard even after quitting General Hospital in 2013, and she enjoys chatting about her former co-star.
Vanessa Marcil revealed information about Maurice Benard that most fans probably weren’t aware of during a live conversation with followers conducted through Coastal Entertainment.
She disclosed something that not many people were able to see before: Maurice Benard has always been “hilariously funny.”
Because he is such a method performer, Marcil said, “He was always so solemn all the time and kind of quite tortured, but he’s always been hysterically funny.” It seems as though Benard has emerged from his shell and discovered his sense of humour, and Marcil believes that followers enjoy seeing this aspect of him that contrasts sharply with the personalities he portrays on television.
Marcil also revealed some additional fascinating Benard-related information. She playfully remarked, “Mo has never ever had his own phone or his own vehicles, he doesn’t — he’s kind of like royalty. He is just beginning to venture into that field; he does not drive, email, or use the phone.
General Hospital Updates – Should Vanessa Marcil Return To General Hospital?
Vanessa Marcil was asked if she should return to General Hospital, and her answer was largely favourable. There is no chance that I won’t do it ultimately, she declared.
She said that she will always be glad to return and expressed her gratitude to GH for providing her the opportunity.
I simply adore that figure. She’s such a complex, remarkable figure, and I believe she was way ahead of her time, she continued. And the fact that Maurice is always present, you know, makes it obvious because I couldn’t return to work alongside a recast Sonny or some of these insane things that occurred to some characters.
