Is Mac Scorpio willing to pardon Cody’s GH lie?
On General Hospital, Cody made the decision to withhold the DNA findings that would have established his paternity as Mac Scorpio’s real son. (We’d like to see some documentation on the circumstances surrounding when and how that occurred, but that is unimportant.) It’s not a smart idea to maintain secrets in Port Charles. Either way, the facts will eventually surface. Then, how should Mac respond?

3% of the population harbors resentment and wants Mac (John J. York) to reject the unappreciative wanderer. Mac shouldn’t want to be Cody’s parent if Josh Kelly (Cody) doesn’t want to be his son. Mac brought up the late Georgie, Robin (Kimberly McCullough), and Maxie (Kirsten Storms). There are many individuals who are aware of and grateful for him as a father.

Mac is the type of dad who loves his kids just the way they are. How many times has he supported Maxie as she acted foolishly after Peter (Wes Ramsey) and Spinelli (Bradford Anderson)? If Mac can handle that, he can handle Cody’s cutthroat tendencies.
Take Your Time, Mac Scorpio
Mac could forgive Cody with a winning 51%, but you want it to take some time. Make Cody earn his keep. He must sincerely demonstrate his regret. Not only that, either. Cody needs to demonstrate that he genuinely comprehends the uniqueness of Mac and why it was wrong for him to treat him in such a way. These two are capable of developing a father-and-son bond, but it must be founded on openness rather than remorse or duty.
