Of course they love Spencer and Trina, but playing these characters would be a fun change of pace.
Things will finally be heating up for Tabyana Ali and Nicholas Alexander Chavez’s characters, Trina Robinson and Spencer Cassadine, now that the latter has finally been sprung from prison. The two actors love their characters and the sparks between them — but that doesn’t mean they haven’t thought about other folks in Port Charles.
Nicholas Alexander Chavez & Tabyana Ali Reflect
At a recent Coastal Entertainment Zoom event, Ali and Chavez spent the evening with a fair number of “Sprina” supporters. Susie, one of the audience members, revealed how much she loves him in scenes with Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) and her in moments with Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West), but she then inquired as to who else they would play on General Hospital and why. Ali was urged to go first by Chavez.
Ali admitted, “Honestly, I would love to portray Miss Ava Jerome. “That gal has some spice,” or Selina Wu, a character played by Ms. Lydia Look, but I believe Ava. If I could play her, I would. She exudes a strong, seductive quality that makes it seem as though she can achieve what she wants with only a glance or even certain words said with authority and sensuality. I simply adore it, therefore I would be thrilled to portray Ava.
The moss on Carly’s counter, I’d have to say,” deadpanned Nicholas Alexander Chavez. I try to imitate the enthusiasm that the moss just imparts to whatever I do. That Moss’s art has me completely enthralled. Yes, Moss Corinthos is the role I’d like to portray the most.
Ali concurred, “That’s a terrific character choice.” “I never even considered it,” Who could blame people for laughing at the response in the event’s online chatroom? Moss has demonstrated longevity, always looks fantastic in closeups, and has access to everyone’s innermost thoughts.
