On General Hospital, Jon Lindstrom portrays a convincingly spooky one-armed guy.
Ryan Chamberlain was portrayed by Jon Lindstrom for many months as largely unresponsive. Ryan never lost his intimidating edge, but Lindstrom is now able to portray his character as an immediate threat to many people since he is out on the loose and carrying a pistol. The actor stood out during a week when several other General Hospital actors improved.
Jon Lindstrom – Performer of the Week
Others from Ryan’s background, such as Felicia (Kristina Wagner) and Mac (John J. York), weren’t there when the serial murderer first reappeared a few years ago, according to a previous Soap Hub report. Thus, use caution when making wishes! Once more, viewers had to clutch their breath as Ryan hit Mac on the head after he had made it out of Spring Ridge. “Now that was enjoyable! Ryan gloated to his unconscious victim, “Hey, Mac!”
Fortunately, Ryan was persuaded that he didn’t have enough time to kill Felicia’s husband by Heather (Alley Mills), the ideal “Bonnie” to Ryan’s “Clyde.” How did the writers of GH explain Ryan not murdering Mac? with a fantastic conversation. Ryan sighed as he made the decision to leave the unconscious Mac, lamenting, “It’s no fun if you can’t watch the light leave their eyes anyhow.
During the course of the week, Lindstrom said a number of additional things that, in a different circumstance, would be downright hilarious. During the escape that Ryan, Heather, and Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) made from the minimum security jail, the one-armed psychopath mentioned to Heather that he needed “another hand” to assist him carry the unfortunate guard he killed.
Ryan was welcomed by Lindstrom in a way that made it obvious the character was catching up on lost time. As Ryan arrived at Wyndemere to face Ava, the situation became even more tense (Maura West). He didn’t plan on striking it rich and discovering Felicia, a former and present infatuation of his, there as well. The two ladies were trying to catch Ryan off guard by making fun of the fact that he was made to act weak while confined since they are aware of what makes Ryan tick.
But, Ryan has always demonstrated the ability to give as good (or as awful) as he receives. He tricked Felicia into believing that he had hurt Mac. Afterwards, he made fun of Mac’s survival by telling the officer that Felicia would perish if anybody tried to stop him from fleeing! Ryan further alarmed Ava by using the name of her late daughter Kiki, who was Ryan’s victim (Hayley Erin). He is a wicked dude!
Ironically, Ryan wound up in Wyndemere, the manor where Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne’s (Batman) devoted assistant, formerly worked. That’s because Jon Lindstrom gives Ryan the same kind of violent edge and deadly wit that players give the Joker’s character. If Ryan didn’t have a horrible past and all the murders, he may be the kind of person you wanted to stand next to at a party and trade gossip with.
But, Ryan’s actions aren’t amusing in any way. We are waiting impatiently to see what he will do next. In addition to portraying the crazy Ryan, Jon Lindstrom also created Kevin Collins, the nice guy twin. The actor’s ability to perform two characters that are so different speaks something about his abilities.
Honorable Mentions: Dr. Portia Robinson-Ashford and Trina Robinson, portrayed by Brook Kerr and Tabyana Ali, respectively, shone when the possibility that Curtis (Donnell Turner) may be Trina’s father emerged. While submitting for the 2024 Daytime Emmys, both actresses should keep these sequences in mind.
