Soap Hub Performer Of The Week For GH: Adam

On General Hospital, Adam Huss returned his role as Nikolas Cassadine at a crucial time.

Over the past few years, Adam Huss has filled in a few times as Nikolas Cassadine on General Hospital. His most recent and powerful transformation occurred at a pivotal point in the evil prince’s past. The actor has been named Performer of the Week for GH by Soap Hub in recognition of his most recent masterwork.

Actors in soap operas typically have the advantage of getting to develop their character over the course of weeks, months, and even years. However, because Huss has intermittently entered the programme, he has had to quickly develop his own interpretation of Nikolas. And it just serves to highlight his performances, in which he competed well with GH stars like Genie Francis (Laura), Maura West (Ava), Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth), and Nicholas Alexander Chavez (Spencer).

Huss stepped in as Nikolas on this most recent time as the walls were closing in on him. At his previous home, Wyndemere, Nikolas confronted Ava after learning that she had used Spencer against him as a weapon. Nikolas resisted her attempts to excommunicate him, saying he was determined to carry out their initial plan.

Huss obviously studies the GH history so he will be well prepared when he interacts with Nikolas’ family members. In his moments with West, the actor was had to rehash quite a bit. A furious Nik talked about grudgingly sleeping with Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl), promising to accept responsibility for her “death,” Spencer’s dislike of Ava, and the affection Nik and Ava have shared.

Ava and Nikolas eventually had a discussion about one of his “betrayals” He admitted that the lie that he had slept with Elizabeth was a ploy to get away with her visiting Wyndemere at his home to treat a pregnant Esme. A vulnerable Nikolas informed Ava, “There was never anybody else.” Then, as he drew nearer, he said, “Except you.”

Although Ava said that Nik’s confession had had no impact on their relationship, the trembling in her voice gave us the idea that there could be a chance for reconciliation. Nikolas, though, had further information for Ava. He was indignant that Ava and Spencer had planned to kidnap his child. He questioned, “How could you be so heartless?” Nik then threatened to separate Avery from Ava, or at the very least, he made her fear that it may happen.

Ava disapproved. Nik had a plan to help Sonny (Maurice Benard) gain custody of their kid, but he insisted that he wasn’t talking about doing it legally. He would make use of Charles Shaughnessy’s (uncle Victor’s) evil resources. “When Avery is gone, I promise you’ll have the same kind of void in your heart that I will for the rest of your life. That’s a promise, snapped a furious Nikolas. Don’t worry; I’ll let Avery know you bid her farewell.

It was expensive for Nikolas to yell. Ava hit him in the head with a pricey Cassadine trinket that was close by, but did she actually deal a lethal blow? Adam Huss has already appeared as Nikolas in Ava’s nightmare. We wouldn’t mind seeing Adam Huss continue to portray Nikolas if he is still alive given how beautifully he has previously performed the character on three separate times.

Honorable Mention: Genie Francis, who played Laura, shone when she confronted Spencer about wanting to abduct Nikolas’ unborn child. Spencer was criticised by Laura for always being such a smart kid. When Laura bemoaned leaving Cassadine Island to raise the boy she had with the late Stavros, we all shed a few tears. Because of the pain she had experienced during that time in her life, Laura did not say her regrets glibly.
