Fans of General Hospital have already been here. Oh, no! It’s over for Nikolas Cassadine. Again! Ava Jerome Cassadine, his estranged wife, struck Nikolas in the head. Instead of, you know, maybe checking for a pulse or something, Dr. Austin Gatlin-Holt took Ava’s word that he had passed from this world.

Your head stays struck when Ava strikes you in the head. Hello, Nikolas. In any case, you were overstaying your welcome.
Been There, Done That With Nikolas Cassadine
42% of General Hospital supporters shrug, “Maybe he’s dead this time.” But, you know, he has previously passed away. For the character, this may be a welcome restart. With the abduction of Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) and the inclusion of Elizabeth Webber Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) in his crimes, Nikolas had recently gone too far. He needs to reflect about his actions for a while. And if it requires him to pass away briefly in order for it to occur? Okay, OK.
GH: Hard Headed
However, about half of you, or 51%, think Nik’s skull can withstand any assault. He is, after all, a Cassadine. His father made it after being knocked down the steps. How many times did his grandma pass away? Not only his Cassadine side, though. Mother Laura Collins, played by Genie Francis, arose from the grave. Grandma Lesley Webber agreed (Denise Alexander). And Lucky Spencer, his brother. The point is that there is still much work to be done. Nik will lead Ava to believe that she murdered him. He will then determine how to make that work for him. We are once more on his Cassadine side.
