Sam, played by Kelly Monaco, adores Jason. She wanted him to be the father of her daughter Scout as well as her son Danny. He sort of is, really. Sam has repeatedly put everything at stake for Jason. Would she do that for anyone else besides the man she loves most of all?

The real father of Scout, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), is whom she was happiest with, 20% of the audience counters. Even after Sam found out that he wasn’t Jason but just a guy who looked like Jason before the plastic surgery that made him no longer look like Jason because they were long-lost twins, she chose to stay with Drew over Jason. Because he wasn’t, you know, a criminal. And he actually put her and the kids first. Who wouldn’t adore a man like that above all others?
Strike Three For Sam McCall
Don’t feel too bad for Dante Falconeri because 16% of you still think that he and Sam will get married. While his criminal father resides right down the hall, they have combined households, raised a combined family, and are living Sam’s ideal life in which she is with an honorable member of the law. If you ignore the fact that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was Sam’s first love interest in Port Charles and the father of her first child as well as her current boyfriend, It’s not at all spooky.
