Marcus Coloma assumed the role of Nikolas Cassadine in the fall of 2019 and has been mostly on the front burner ever since his debut. Now, the actor’s time in Port Charles has come to an end.

When viewers discovered on Monday, December 12, 2022, that the actor was no longer following the ABC soap’s official sites or his co-stars, online speculations that he had left the show started to circulate. Daytime Confidential is now claiming that the actor has left the set, per set-side insiders. Additionally, according to DC, he “reportedly rejected to record his final sequences after learning he had been fired.”
In 1996, Tyler Christopher first played the part of Nikolas as a teenager as the “terrible” secret that Laura (Genie Francis) had kept from her husband at the time, Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary). He was not only the answer to Port Charles’ and Luke’s prayers since he could donate his bone marrow to a critically ill Lulu, but his existence also provided some insight into what transpired with Laura during the period when they feared she had passed away.
Coltin Scott took up Christopher’s highly regarded role in 1999 after he departed it. In order to continue playing Nikolas, Christopher was brought back to the show in 2003. He remained there until 2011. Two years later, he returned to the program, and he remained there until 2016. Nick Stabile took over as Nik after Tyler left, and after that, it was thought that the character had been shot to death by Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) as he fell out of a window.
Coloma made his GH debut on Halloween of 2019, when a man took off his mask to confront Ava Jerome (Maura West). To the chagrin of his mourning loved ones, Nikolas had pretended to die. Despite spending more time on the verge of divorce than genuinely being happy, Ava and Nik’s attraction to one another persisted and they eventually got married. What does his departure therefore imply for Nikolas’ future? The show’s future prospects remain a mystery.
