Mamma Mia: Did General Hospital Just Inadvertently Reveal the Identity of Esme’s Mother?

The truth may be crazier than we ever imagined — and we do mean “crazy,” too.

General Hospital may have really hit the mother lode this time. During the November 28 episode, Ryan bumped into Spring Ridge’s “artist in residence” Heather. And it could have been nothing. Just two mental patients looking at each other in a way that was… well, mental. But we have a hunch that there was a whole lot more going on than met the eye — or, for that matter, their eyes.

A Horrifying Hookup

Heather acknowledged that she was familiar with Ryan, but who isn’t? He is as notorious in Port Charles as David Kimble or the Salem Strangler were in Genoa City. But didn’t you see something more in the way they looked at each other? Not just, “Oh, I saw your photo in the paper,” or even, “I’ve long loved your rampages.” If we’re not mistaken, Heather’s reaction was one of terror. and Ryan’s rage.

Why does that matter? The only conceivable explanation is if the psychos’ journeys off-screen crossed at some point; maybe years ago, so many that… ack! They could have been able to have a hellspawn child together, one that looked like… ack again! Esme!

Now It All Makes Sense

It would explain a lot about Nikolas’ mother if the child was a byproduct of a foolish tryst between the insane people. We really do mean “awful.” Esme might have been able to overcome her tainted DNA if she had been raised by a Laura or a Mac. However, since that doesn’t appear to have been the case, she has simply leaned into the bad blood coursing through her veins and continued in her parents’ criminally dubious footsteps.
