She may have just made a fatal mistake!
Things are about to get dire for General Hospital’s Willow. Her leukemia battle has been an uphill one from the start, and now it’s progressing to stage IV. That’s as dire as it comes and while it’s still treatable, the chance of it becoming terminal is terrifyingly high.
According to the most recent issue of Soap Opera Digest, Willow and Michael feel it’s time to find her relatives for this reason. A bone marrow transplant is really her only remaining option, and finding a match is much more likely in a family member.
They’re like, “OK, I guess it’s time to find my birth parents,” as Katelyn MacMullen puts it.
These are the words we have all been waiting to hear for a very long time, but one person they are most likely to alarm is Carly. Even worse, Michael and Willow aren’t conducting the hunt in isolation. Because as soon as Drew learns about it, he chooses to help out as well!
Willow is really into it, MacMullen tells Digest, since she believes that the more people who are aware of this, the better.
And in a typical situation, that would be accurate. In this instance, however, investigating Willow’s parents is one thing, but once Drew begins assisting them, his new girlfriend most likely won’t be as thrilled.
Carly has remained silent up to this point, but she’s going to have to make a decision when almost everyone she loves about is looking for Willow’s family.
If Carly was clever enough to grab this opportunity and make it work, it might give her a way out. She might expedite the entire investigation and steer everyone in the correct way, emerging as a hero by assisting them in learning the truth about Nina and Willow and rescuing them.
However, it’s a long shot. Instead, it appears as though she is almost at a loss for what to do. She has two choices: keep quiet and risk Willow’s death if they can’t locate her family in time, or just come clean and incur everyone’s fury for concealing the truth for so long.
There are actually three choices, with the third being to use Drew to sabotage the search and keep the Nina/Willow connection from ever being revealed. But surely not even Carly would treat Nina with such vengeance? Right??
