GH has not yet responded to several of our inquiries.
In General Hospital, viewers were instructed to watch on the edge of their seats for weeks while The Hook murdered and stabbed their way through Port Charles. We tried. We did. We investigated the people who could have a grudge against all of the victims using the hints that had been provided for us.
A General Hospital Mystery
It appeared for a while that Trina (Tabyana Ali) may be what they all shared in common. The murderer was later identified as Heather Webber (Alley Mills). Uhm…what? Is that all there is, to quote a song Liesl (Kathleen Gati) sung a few years ago.
GH Crime Solvers
Is the puzzle really solved? There are no more unfinished business since Heather is the hook. If so, we must then inquire as to her motivation. Heather is just wild and insane. But, she has always had a method to her craziness. We get Heather’s motivation for wanting to stab Ava (Maura West). Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) and Ava were previously each other’s obsessions, and Heather is now fascinated with Ryan.
Officer Rory is a horrible example of this. He simply happened to be there at the wrong time. Diane (Carolyn Hennesy), though? Johnny Wactor’s Brando? Jon (Eden McCoy)? As to why Heather might wish to murder them, Well, so Brando really did succeed where Joss failed, so why the ferocious attack on Joss?
General Hospital Timeline
Also, several of the victims are linked to Esme, Heather’s long-lost daughter (Avery Kristen Pohl). Yet if Heather was murdering Esme for her, she would have done so before realising that Esme was her child. As far as we are aware, at least. It was only recently that Ryan told Heather about it. But what if Heather had been lying the whole time?
The point is that there are still a TON of unanswered questions. Yet, it appears that the show failed to adequately respond to any of them. So, we inquire: Is the narrative over? In that case, boo.
