Kelly Thiebaud offers her opinion on Britt leaving General Hospital.
Britt, one of the the Hook’s victims, can now rest comfortable because Heather Webber has been arrested on General Hospital. Although Kelly Thiebaud, who plays Britt, is content with how things turned out for her character (for the time being), the ABC serial opera has the option of bringing her back at some point.
Kelly Thiebaud Talks Why Britt Had to Go
Mob boss Selina Wu (Lydia Look) had already agreed to assist Britt get a new name so she could flee Port Charles. The good doctor then rescued Joss (Eden McCoy) from being stabbed, but destiny had other plans, and Britt ended up being the Hook’s unintentional victim. At a recent Coastal Entertainment fan zoom event, Thiebaud reconnected with her devoted admirers and covered a range of subjects with her friend Parry Shen (Brad).
How does the Daytime Emmy-winning performer feel about her stint on General Hospital ending with a period rather than a semicolon? When it was all being debated at the time, and currently, Thiebaud said, “I feel wonderful about it being a period.” I will undoubtedly miss Britt a lot.
However, Thiebaud is incredibly grateful for the positive reception she and Britt got from GH fans. She claims that she feels “sorry” about removing Britt from them because of this. The actress reflects, “I do believe she was special to daylight.” “On GH, there isn’t another character like her.”
Britt’s death, as opposed to her leaving town, offers Thiebaud a feeling of closure. Everyone is aware that you can always return to soap operas, she adds. However, I personally needed Britt to pass away in order for Kelly and I to move on from that role. The entire time Britt was at the Coastal Entertainment event, Thiebaud thanked the audience for supporting her, Britt, and Britt’s transformation from “Britch” to protagonist.
Kelly Thiebaud: Never Say Never
In addition, Thiebaud offered some views on the subject, even though it is way too early to even make assumptions about a return to daily drama. The actress states that “it would need to be done in a unique manner.” I don’t know if I would want to do that, she continued after pausing for a moment. It was a difficult choice to quit, a very difficult one. While I was pleased about it, I also felt bad about it.
