In another scene, Curtis (Donnell Turner) cautions his future wife Portia (Brook Kerr) to be cautious with her daughter Trina. She will make an effort to maintain control over her daughter’s life since she does not want Spencer to be anywhere near her priceless infant.
The emphasis of the advertisement then switches to brief glimpses of various Port Charles characters, including a disoriented Esme, a concerned Liz, Nikolas, who appears to be anxious (he is in a church, after all, so he probably has a good cause), and Austin resisting his family.
As the words “The…Truth..Will…Sting” flash across the screen, images of Nina, Willow, a worried Carly, and an irate Sonny (Maurice Benard) separate them. General Hospital History: Approaching 60 Years
The husband and wife duo of Frank and Doris Hursley produced GH, which made its premiere in 1963 and was set in an undisclosed location but took place inside a hospital. In actuality, Port Charles was not given to the location until the 1970s. The longest-running soap opera presently airing is General Hospital.
GH clearly understands how to delight its audience, from famous Laura’s (Genie Francis) four decades on and off and back on as the program’s major heroine, to Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) super spy escapades, to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his gangster antics.
