GH Spoilers: Mysteries Deepen For Valentin And Anna, Finds Alex Alive?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease mysteries deepen for Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). As they continue to look for Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) who they know from Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) isn’t dead, may they find another “dead” woman-Alex Devane (Finola Hughes)?

General Hospital Spoilers – Fits Victor Cassadine’s M.O.

Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) M.O., or method of operation, would be well suited if Alex was still alive. In self-defense, Anna allegedly shot Alex into the ocean, where she allegedly drowned, but her body was never found. Victor wouldn’t even need to program Alex to work for him! Why he didn’t have Anna shoot Lucy is a mystery. Lucy was also shot into the sea to make it look she drowned, and Anna was made to take the blame.

Following a tip, Valentin and Anna visit a jeweler where a necklace similar to the one Lucy was wearing with the tracker in it was purchased. They can’t overlook anything that might lead them to Lucy, but as they enter, a startling realization strikes them: is Alex still alive?

GH Spoilers – On Their Guard

Naturally, when they see Alex alive—or is that Alex?—Valentin and Anna are on guard. Is she dressed up to resemble Alex like Holly was dressed up to resemble Anna, and if so, what game is she playing? Anna needs to exercise caution around this woman, who might or might not be her sister, and she has a nagging feeling that Felicia Scorpio needs to be contacted (Kristina Wagner). There may be a need for protection from her paternal grandmother for baby Bailey Lou Jones (London and Jett Prinzo-Berendt). As Anna interrogates the lady for facts that only she and Alex would know—they share memories so Anna can’t be duped—Valentin holds a gun to the woman’s head.

General Hospital Spoilers – More Of Victor Cassadine’s Mind Games?

They must question whether “Alex” was saved by Victor and a deal was made, or if she was programmed—not that she wouldn’t have cooperated with him voluntarily—or if she was something else entirely. Is she there to serve as a diversion, just another one of Victor’s tricks to get them off Lucy’s trail, or is she actually alive and is Anna’s twin? Having a DNA kit on hand at this time would be ideal for comparing the woman and Anna, but the process would take too long because identical twins don’t have the same fingerprints.

If this woman isn’t Alex, Victor likely knows a lot more about her and Alex than Anna feels comfortable with. This is why Anna is secretly terrified. Valentin wouldn’t be shocked if Victor and his agents had been trailing him from the time he mistakenly believed he was following Anna to the midwife when it was actually Alex.
