Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will be able to move on just fine from her romance with Austin Gatlin Holt, according to General Hospital (GH) teasers (Roger Howarth). Everyone else is being a little too kind with her, and they probably have no idea that she’s been working on this break-up in some way for a while.

She might not even have understood that herself until now. Although Maxie is perfectly content to let go of Austin and may soon pursue a relationship with another person, she does not want Austin to start dating anyone from her friend or family network. That will cause him problems when Austin makes a play for Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).

There is no need for fans to be concerned about Maxie’s future. The signs are clear; the moment Maxie gives the go-ahead to Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), he will be ready to swoon her. Still, Austin was hoping Maxie had it in her to see things through for one more round. Now that he’s single, it appears Austin is also ready to mingle, and he’s not going to waste any time beating around the bush when he cozies up to Britt at her birthday bash this New Year’s Eve.
