GH Spoilers: Esme And Heather Are Bound To Reunite — How Will This Play Out?

Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), according to General Hospital (GH) spoilers, is about to fulfill her goal without even realizing it. She will soon be reunited with Heather Webber (Alley Mills), her long-lost birth mother, but there will undoubtedly be difficulties.

Esme will hug her mother and perhaps experience sentiments she wasn’t aware she possessed, but there’s another factor at play here that might complicate matters. They will all need to determine what their family will look like going ahead as three criminals, one of whom is on the run, and Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) will need to provide some frank answers.

The more her pregnancy progresses, the more Esme starts to feel like a mother — with the instincts to boot! Welcoming her own child soon will certainly bring things full circle for Esme as she also meets her own birth mother during this journey. Esme wasn’t sure she would ever even know the name of her birth mom, much less meet her this early in her search and in Port Charles, commiserating with her birth dad from behind bars.

Esme is going to be over the moon, but it won’t take long for reality to set in, and a slew of questions to start forming as she tries to make Heather’s sudden appearance — and Ryan’s knowledge of it — make sense.

How long Ryan knew Heather was her biological mother and why he pretended he didn’t know who she was or even what her name was are two of the most important questions Esme is likely to have. What motivated him to keep her identity a secret from Esme all this time? Whatever defense he gives, will Esme accept it? Will Heather defend Ryan or discredit him in an effort to win all of Esme’s attention for herself? Ryan can’t possibly claim he was attempting to shield Esme from her mother when they are practically twins.

However, Ryan isn’t the only one responsible. Esme is going to ask Heather more questions than her birth mother can probably answer, and it’s unclear how many of those inquiries will receive an honest response. Although Heather could portray Ryan as the antagonist she ran away from, she actually seems keen in staying in touch with him—even if it means getting back in touch in some unsettling ways.
