And no, it’s not who you think!
Sweet love. It may happen in the most unexpected locations and at the craziest moments. Laura Wright from General Hospital is aware of it, though we suppose it’s not all that odd to fall in love in the office. Heck, if the TV show The Office is any indication, romance is almost exclusively found at work!
Wright said on a special episode of Maurice Benard’s State of Mind that she had once or twice fallen in love with a coworker, but she wasn’t referring to her current boyfriend, Wes Ramsey (formerly Peter)!
When they fell in love, they weren’t co-stars in the movie. She informed Benard that she “known him far before” and that he joined General Hospital after they started dating. He and I collaborated on Guiding Light while I was expecting my kid.”
Back then, there was only acting competition—no romance. However, when Wright was unmarried and very much not pregnant, that was not exactly how her first soap opera proceeded.
She remembered, “I was passionately in love with my co-star on Loving. Anthony Paul Stewart fantastic actor
Naturally, the two spent a lot of time together at this time because Ally and Casey were then scorching up the screen together. And despite the concerns of her other co-stars that it would not happen, Wright was reportedly hopeful that their fictional love story may translate to the real world!
She giggled at her ignorance, “Everyone was like, ‘He’s homosexual. Then I said, “No, he’s not! He enjoys me! Whatever.’ I therefore said, “Hiiii!” for about two years. Finally, he declares, “It’s really not going to happen.
We presume that not everything works out. But the real mystery is whether she was in love with her leading guy or his persona. After switching over to Guiding Light to portray Cassie a few years later, she had to come to that conclusion for herself.
“I was really passionately in love with Bradley Cole, who portrayed Prince Richard,” she acknowledged from over there.
At the moment, she believed that, at least. But when she put the puzzle pieces together, she saw that wasn’t really what was occurring.
She said, “I noticed we didn’t really hang out or converse every time we were at an event afterwards. I then realised that I was genuinely deeply in love with Richard. I was engrossed in the plot and in love with the character!
Wow, it’s fantastic to hear that characters and their tales are loved by anyone outside just the fans! Even yet, when Wright articulated it, it was rather unexpected that co-stars’ relationships don’t always blossom.
She said, “I was there from seven in the morning until seven at night.” “I spent more time working on scenes and running lines with that individual than I did with my family. And this individual is complimenting you on how stunning you look while wearing only wonderful clothing.
Simply put, soap opera life is superior to real life. And genuine romance cannot either. She chuckled at the thought of returning home at the end of the day to her husband, family, and being jolted back into reality by questions like, “Did you hear the dog s*** in the backyard?” And I think, “What about how wonderful and gorgeous I am?” The child is sobbing, and food is spread out all over the table.
She concluded by saying, “I do understand how that may happen, but it’s easy to get caught up in the romanticism that isn’t true.”
She said, turning to Benard with a giggle, “but not on General Hospital in 17 years.” Sorry, little one.
Sonny’s actor pretended to be shocked. How is it not going to occur?
