General Hospital spoilers reveal a missing Esme Prince after Nikolas’ baby mama decided to take a flying leap backward over the parapet, but Avery Kristen Pohl is able to get into the head of her character.
General Hospital Spoilers: Could Esme Be Redeemable
Esme Prince has certainly committed her fair share of crimes in the 18 months or so since she arrived in Port Charles and it’s no wonder why now that we know her parents are mastermind criminal sociopaths, Heather Webber (Alley Mills) and Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom). With DNA like that, what else could we expect from her?
She has spent months imprisoned in a Wyndemere tower while Nikolas tries to conceal her and the pregnancy after courting the much older Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma). Elizabeth Webber is the only other individual who is aware of what is actually occurring (Rebecca Herbst). Even if Liz doesn’t feel sorry for the girl who recorded Liz’s son having sex for the first time and posted the video online, Esme was able to talk to her before escaping, and Avery Kristen Pohl adored all those scenes.

“Working with Becky [Herbst, Elizabeth] is great. She offers me a lot of material to work with, so I wind up doing things in the scenes that weren’t what I had anticipated. According to Pohl, Soap Opera Digest. Also, I think it’s incredibly interesting that this mother figure suddenly appears in Esme’s life — not necessarily as a specific maternal role model for her, but rather as someone who undoubtedly has firsthand experience with what it’s like to be a parent.
Pohl also thinks that Esme genuinely loves her infant, Ace, who she named and with whom she spoke the most when imprisoned in her tower.
“I believe she genuinely cares about that baby. It can just come from the self-centered perspective that, while the baby can benefit her, it’s also someone she can love unconditionally and who will love her unconditionally, something she has never known.
