Who Is Reiko On General Hospital?
Reiko was first mentioned in passing on General Hospital in 2016. Recent events, however, have shown she is much more than just a passing mention. She first appeared in Dr. Hamilton Finn’s troubled recollections.
His first wife, Reiko, passed away as a result of getting Blackwood’s syndrome. Since he felt that he was to blame for her passing, Finn was conflicted about the entire affair. Her exposure to the fatal sickness with no treatment was caused by his studies.
However, Finn later earned himself a second chance by curing the illness and saving lives. Reiko’s death was initially attributed to Raymond Berlin, the father of Hayden Barnes, who was married to Finn’s second wife.
His Ponzi scam ended the pursuit of a treatment for the Blackwood Syndrome. That, however, did not last for very long. Recently, Elizabeth discovered a brand-new reality about Reiko and her relationship with her when she went to her parents’ house in search of information. rewriting the original story regarding her passing completely.
What Is Reiko’s Connection To Elizabeth
Tortured by the visions on General Hospital Elizabeth had been having of Reiko, who also happens to be the dead wife of her current boyfriend, Finn, she goes looking for answers. Elizabeth realizes that Reiko and her connection goes back to her teenage, the time she spent on the island with her parents. She decides to go to their house to dig for clues and demand answers.
When Elizabeth confronts her parents, Jeff and Carolyn Webber, Jeff tells her that he was having an affair with Reiko. Elizabeth is shocked by the revelation.
However, she is further stunned by what her mother tells her. When Elizabeth asks how Reiko landed at the foot of their staircase, Jeff took the blame, saying he pushed her. However, Carolyn interrupted him and told Elizabeth the REAL truth. The floor beneath Elizabeth collapses when she hears that it wasn’t Jeff but Elizabeth herself who pushed Reiko after an altercation.
Reiko needed a blood transfusion after suffering injuries from her fall on General Hospital, which caused her to get Blackwood’s Syndrome. losing her life to it eventually.
Elizabeth is currently in an extremely difficult situation where she must deal with the idea that she is accountable for Reiko’s death as well as a looming question! Whether to tell Finn or not.
