General Hospital Welcomes Back Anthony Montgomery

General Hospital spoilers, news, and updates tease that Anthony Montgomery made a surprising return to the show. Is this a brief stint or will he make another appearance?

In an Instagram post, the actor shared some photos from the set.

“Heard there was an Andre Maddox sighting on GH today,” Montgomery wrote.

“Love, love, love, Finola Hughes (Anna Devane). Great working with James Patrick Stuart (Valentin Cassadine). Love my GH family, cast, and crew,” he added.

“It was good to have you back for a spell, Anthony. Always the best day when you come to town. Love you!” Hughes said.

Fans will have to wait to find out if Montgomery appears in forthcoming episodes. In addition, he hinted, “till next time,” hinting that he would return to the area soon.

Montgomery’s Stint On General Hospital

In 2015, Montgomery joined the General Hospital cast as Andre Maddox, the new psychiatrist for Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). He was imprisoned in December 2017 after it was later discovered that the Cassadines had used his assistance to undertake memory-swapping methods. Throughout brief periods in 2018 and 2019, the actor returned to the part.

Montgomery’s most recent appearance came on December 28 of last year, when Valentin and Anna paid him an unexpected visit. They went to the Netherlands to locate Andre and inquire of him on any potential information regarding the whereabouts of Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) and Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring). Valentine and Anna were curious if Andre could provide them with any beneficial information since he had previously been related to the Cassadines.

Their effort didn’t go to waste. Andre told them about a secret base that the Cassadines had in Paris. Andre offered to go with them not only because he knew where it was located but because he didn’t trust Valentin. The latter didn’t trust the shrink either but Anna assured him that he had valid reasons for wanting to take down the Cassadines.

Will Victor Brainwash Lucy?

Victor’s scheming may have a huge effect on Lucy, who he is currently keeping as a hostage. He has this fatal attraction to her that he’s willing to go to lengths to get what he wants. He kept Lucy alive so that means he has something planned for her.

Fans may recall that Victor used to be obsessed with Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) programming. Will he find a way to control Lucy, too?
