The holiday season is extra special when you’re a kid — even if you grow up to be a soap star. These General Hospital stars took a walk down Memory Lane to share what it was about their youth that they remember fondly to this day.
General Hospital Stars Holiday Memories
It happened at a Coastal Entertainment Zoom event that Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) was hosting. Special guests Tabyana Ali (Trina Robinson), Cynthia Watros (Nina Reeves), and Kin Shriner (Scott Baldwin), an off-screen jokester partner, were also present. Allyson, a participant, asked the group what their favorite Christmas memory from childhood was. Not everyone could recall a perfect memory from their youth, but they were all sincere and coming from the heart.
Benard said, “I guess for me, it was my father who would always dress up as Santa Claus and have a scotch and a straw, so I always knew it was him. Many of those who were listening laughed as a result. He would strive to fool everyone. He looked exactly like Santa Claus, which was incredible because he was tall and he looked like him. I noticed the straw and could smell the alcohol. He chuckled at the memories, “But he’d be drinking and drinking and drinking, it was great.
Watros said, “I don’t know if we had any customs, to be honest. I guess decorating a tree…most years… When I had children, I believe having at least one or two [traditions] was what was most essential to me. I think traditions are good because they give you something to look forward to year after year, but I’m not sure if I ever had any.
