Her character may be in hot water on General Hospital — what with costing Harrison Chase his chance to get his job back — but things are going swimmingly for performer Amanda Setton, who’s celebrating a major milestone event.

And the reason for that is that she turned 37 today because she was born on December 16, 1985, in New York City, New York. Setton studied in drama at Ithaca College after graduating from high school, where he also served as president of the institute’s theater club.
2008 was a breakthrough year for the aspiring actress. She not only secured extra work in two feature films, the comedy What Happens in Vegas starring Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher, and the drama All the World’s a Stage, but she also had an appearance on an episode of HBO’s Sex and the City and was given a leading role in the CW series Gossip Girl.
In the character of Kimberly Andrews on One Life to Live, Setton made her daytime television debut a year later. Setton has been starring as Brook Lynn Quartermaine on the sister ABC serial series General Hospital since 2019 (with the exception of a brief break for her third pregnancy).
The actress is particularly well-known for her work on the CBS sitcom The Crazy Ones, which was developed specifically as a vehicle for the late, great comic Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar, who is well known for her roles on All My Children and Buffy, the Vampire Slayer.
Guest roles on Mercy, Blue Bloods, Golden Boy, and Beauty and the Beast are among Setton’s other acting credits. Additionally, she has appeared in repeat episodes of Hawaii Five-O and The Mindy Project.
