The exit of Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) from General Hospital (GH) may not have been as fatal as it first appeared to be, according to spoilers. Fans of GH are aware that Ava Jerome (Maura West) beat Nikolas with a nearby statuette in order to deter him from pursuing Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola).

Ava didn’t really strike Nikolas that hard, though. Was Nikolas actually killed by it as Ava believes?

When Ava hid Nikolas in the stables closet, she was in a highly frightened condition even though she thought he was no longer breathing.

It’s simple to see Ava losing her mind after learning this terrible news without understanding Nikolas still had a weak pulse.

They never showed Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) making sure the body was there.

Of course, given what transpired when Peter August (Wes Ramsey) went down the GH stairway, it wouldn’t have mattered even if Austin did.

Two purportedly qualified medical experts, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), both pronounced Peter dead.

Anyone can make a mistake that big if Finn and Liz can!

After surviving the fall down the stairs and breaking free of the freezer he was being held in, Peter returned and eventually died a second time.

Given all of this, we must take into account the potential that Nikolas will receive the same treatment as Peter August by performing a bodily disappearing act.

It’s plausible that Austin knows Nikolas is still alive because of the odd way he’s acting. Although it’s difficult to determine why, it’s possible that Nikolas coerced Austin into remaining silent or anything similar to that effect.

Although Austin’s justification for postponing the body’s disposal made logical, what if there’s more to the story?

Although it’s true that Ava and Austin shouldn’t be moving a corpse in the open, Austin was surprisingly determined, almost as if he already knew there wasn’t a body to move.

Then then, Austin and Ava could both really believe that Nikolas has passed away.

If the cupboard is empty when they go back to it, then Ava and Austin may be in for a huge surprise.

It’s possible that Nikolas really did leave town as Ava has been stating, opening the door for Nik to come back later.

When they went to the bother of bringing Nikolas back from the grave, it seems shameful to kill him off permanently.

Nikolas may yet make a return, either as a brand-new recast or possibly Adam Huss, whose depiction was well-liked by many viewers.

It would be wonderful if the programme could leave the door open just in case Tyler Christopher’s return, which would also be appreciated.

However, when you consider how soaps usually work, the longer Austin and Ava wait to move Nikolas’ body, the higher the likelihood that it would vanish.

According to General Hospital spoilers, Ava and Austin may need to revise their strategy, so stay tuned.
