General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that there may be a deeper reason for Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Chavez) hatred of Dex Heller (Evan Hofer). Spencer doesn’t like the fact that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) kept secrets from Cameron Webber (William Lipton) – and Dex was obviously a big part of those secrets.
It almost seems as though the show is establishing a rivalry that might have significant repercussions.
Spencer really despises Dex and would give anything to kill him.
Despite the fact that Dex saved Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) life during the warehouse incident, Spencer’s opinion of him hasn’t changed and probably never will.
Despite his valiant efforts, Brick (Stephen A. Smith) still doesn’t trust Dex, suggesting that Spencer’s mistrust of Dex may also be ingrained.
Is there another explanation for Spencer’s dislike of Dex? Are GH writers making it easier for Spencer to learn Dex’s secret and leak this bombshell information in order to keep Sonny safe?
Spencer undoubtedly cares for Sonny and doesn’t want to see him behind bars, so he might learn something shocking and work to stop it.
When it comes to Dex and Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) covert plan to destroy Sonny, someone is going to find out, so it might as well be Spencer.
Spencer might overhear a discussion he shouldn’t have or uncover additional proof that implicates Dex in Michael’s betrayal.
It’s possible that Spencer will inform Sonny about Dex, which would undoubtedly have an impact on how the Pikeman deal proceeds.
If things go bad, Sonny might lure Dex into a trap and then give him to the Pikeman wolves.
Before the important meeting, Spencer revealing Dex to be a traitor could affect the course of events.
In any event, you can bet Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will be incensed if Spencer is successful in putting Dex in jeopardy.
Josslyn is madly in love, so the last thing she needs is for Spencer to incite Sonny’s rage and make Dex the target.
According to General Hospital previews, Dex may have gained Sonny’s trust and allegiance for the time being, but once his conspiracy with Michael is ultimately revealed, he’ll lose it all.
