No matter how hard Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) tried to deny it, he returned from Nixon Falls a different man. The journey for Sonny and Nina Reeves has been challenging (Cynthia Watros). After Sonny’s family crumbled, they took a step apart from one another to give the situation time to settle, but they ultimately found their way back into each other’s arms.
Sonny has persisted in closing the distance and showing Nina his heart despite repeated cautions from those close to him. That will make it much more difficult to hear Brick’s (Stephen A. Smith) advice that Sonny should exercise caution with his new love.
General Hospital Spoilers — Brick Meets Nina
Sonny has maintained clear boundaries between his personal and professional lives thus far. Nina had no interest in his affairs, and Sonny never intended to put her in jeopardy. He has deliberately kept the two worlds apart, but as he accepts Nina more into his inner circle by letting her participate in his daughters’ lives, he no longer sees a reason to keep her away from his business dealings. Brick is going to meet Nina, but Sonny’s introduction to her might not go as planned.
GH Spoilers Indicate Sonny Senses Brick’s Hesitation
Brick will treat Nina with the same courtesy and friendliness that he has shown to each of Sonny’s friends and business partners over the years. Sonny, who is familiar with Brick, can tell that Brick is putting on a brave face when he meets Nina. But why must Brick pretend, and what is he concealing? Sonny will ask questions, but not while Nina is present.
General Hospital Spoilers — Why Doesn’t Brick Approve?
Could it be that before Sonny officially introduced them, Brick had already done his homework and checked into Nina’s background? If that’s the case, what could he possible know about Nina now that Sonny and the other residents of Port Charles don’t? Is there a chance he has discovered the reality regarding Nina’s parentage of Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen)? It’s plausible, but Brick shouldn’t let that make him worry about Sonny’s relationship with Nina. Brick is more likely to worry that Nina isn’t who she seems and that she’s putting distance between Sonny and everyone he’s ever cared about than it is that he has the same worries that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and T.J.
