General Hospital Spoilers suggest Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) are more alike than meets the eye. Father and son, they’ve had their differences over the years. Given that Sonny didn’t raise Dante, he grew up with his mother, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) and learned to be a — fairly — honest man.

Recently, Cody Bell’s (Josh Kelly) arrival in Port Charles has hinted to a secret or two in Dante’s past that would paint him as much more like his father than anyone ever suspected. Now, in an attempt to keep his secrets buried, he might dabble in his father’s world a bit more than even he ever expected of himself. Sonny, on the other hand, is used to this game. He’s always looking out for number one, and that’s no less true in his interpersonal relationships.

General Hospital Spoilers — Dante’s Secrets Catch Up With Him

Dante has carried a pretty spotless reputation since he came to Port Charles back in 2009. Coming in as an undercover cop and unaware of who his father was at the time, he was sent by the NYPD to take Sonny down. That ended in Sonny figuring out he was a plant and shooting him just moments before Olivia could cry out that he just shot his son, revealing the truth of his paternity she had known all along. He had a pretty good start in Port Chuck being a victim, and it wasn’t long before he settled down with Lulu Falconeri (Emme Rylan) and made a life for himself and his family as a cop with the PCPD.

GH Spoilers Hint Sonny and Nina Won’t Make it to 2024

Although Sonny and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) may believe that their relationship is only getting started, Sonny secretly yearns for his ex-wife, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright). Nina is aware of this. It may not be love that brings them back together at first, but it is love that will keep them together. For the time being, Sonny will keep telling Nina what she wants to hear to allay her concerns that he isn’t truly committed to their relationship, and Nina will keep ignoring all the warning signs that her gut is sending her about this man.

Naturally, the higher we rise, the lower we might fall, and Dante is aware that if anyone learned the truth about his history, it would ruin a number of his relationships. Cody is the only one who is aware of it right now, but that will change. Unfortunately, Dante is already laying the groundwork with Sam McCall, his girlfriend (Kelly Monaco), by telling a few tiny falsehoods, which will come back to haunt him when the truth is revealed..

General Hospital Spoilers — The Truth Always Comes Out

It’s likely that a tragedy will bring Sonny and Carly together, perhaps one in which The Hook seeks for Josslyn “Joss” Jacks (Eden McCoy). Although Nina and Sonny share many trauma links, they are nothing compared to the one thing Carly and Sonny have in common that Nina does not: a family. In the end, Cody won’t likely be the one to inflict Dante’s life with rage. Instead, someone else will learn what Dante did and that Cody was the one who got the blame. In order to save someone else, it might even be necessary for Dante to come clean on his own. Will he abandon someone who is innocent in order to maintain his relationships and reputation?
