General Hospital Spoilers: Shock For Laura When She Checks On Ava, Learns Nikolas Slept With Esmé?

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease there will be a huge shock for Laura Collins (Genie Francis) when she checks in on Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West). Nikolas told his mother he’d slept with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and she was pregnant–Ava will tell her Elizabeth miscarried but he also slept with Esmé Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl)!

General Hospital Spoilers: Laura Collins Aghast

When Laura was in Europe assisting her mother Lesley Webber (Denise Alexander) and her partner Marcello (unknown actor) following a fire, all of this with Esmé and Nikolas occurred. When Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) gave him the order to kill Laura, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) planned this to get Laura out of town. Laura is aware of the numerous issues Ava and Nikolas are facing, but she was unaware of Esmé’s one-night stand.

Given such information, Laura cannot in any way hold Ava responsible for wishing to divorce her son. Additionally, she cannot hold Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) accountable for avoiding his father because, as she discovers, he is aware of both affairs.

GH Spoilers: Why?

Laura is baffled as to why Nikolas would have an affair with his son’s girlfriend, despite Ava’s explanation that Spencer and Esmé had already split up at the time. When Ava learned that Nikolas had been having an affair with Esmé, Spencer was preparing to give a witness statement at Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) trial. Prior to Ava being attacked by The Hook, Spencer found out much later as he was about to leave for Pentonville. Laura’s only response is to wonder why Nikolas did such a terrible thing while he is old enough to be Esmé’s father. Laura wishes she could have been at home at that time because she might have stepped in to stop some of the suffering.

General Hospital Spoilers: Laura Collins Will Confront Her Son

Laura will confront her son and demand explanations, that much is certain. She’ll be curious to find out exactly what transpired and whose idea it was to engage in sexual activity with a young woman. Laura is shocked when Ava reveals that Nikolas believes that Esmé was the one who seduced him; what if Esmé is actually a minor? Laura cannot defend Nikolas in any way. She doesn’t have a birth certificate to present, but she must have managed to enroll at Spencer’s exclusive school because when Ava and Nikolas visited him there, they were unaware that he had a girlfriend.

Esmé’s stories will be investigated by Laura to see whether they are consistent; she already suspected Esmé was trouble with a capital T, but things could become worse. Both Nikolas and Spencer may be in danger if she is younger than she claims to be.
