Rory had been working for The Hook the whole time and was never supposed to pass away. When he crossed The Hook and missed his mark, he unexpectedly met his end. General Hospital Spoilers — Rory Was Working for The Hook All Along

Rory might have truly been working for The Hook the entire time, however the truth may not be revealed for all of Port Charles to see for some time. He might have been set up when Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) targeted Trina to give her the impression that someone was on her side and to divert her attention from Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) by providing her with a different love interest. During the three months of their relationship, Rory accomplished his goal by keeping her away from Spencer and monitoring her, until he didn’t. He was meant to act as if he was interested in Trina for as long as it took for The Hook to maim everyone who was close to her.

GH Spoilers Tease His Feelings Weren’t Fake

Up until things got out of control, Rory was being a faithful assassin and everything was going according to The Hook’s plan. The issue is that Rory started experiencing genuine affection for Trina. He wasn’t joking when he admitted to her that he was in love with her. She didn’t anticipate the change of events, and neither did The Hook, who was intently observing and keeping tabs on his every move. The Hook anticipated that Rory would eventually tell Trina everything when he turned rogue and decided to confess his feelings for her. He probably intended to wait until she acknowledged his sentiments before doing so. The Hook decided against taking that chance and got rid of Rory before he could say anything else.

General Hospital Spoilers — Is He Really Dead?

Naturally, everything depends on Rory actually being dead—or at least it seems that way. Rory might have faked his death and is now being held captive by The Hook rather than being dead. Of fact, that is improbable considering that The Hook would have to persuade certain hospital employees, including Trina’s mother, Dr. Portia Robinson, to participate in the fake (Brook Kerr). If Portia had believed it to be in Trina’s best interests at the time, would she have done it?

We can only hope not after witnessing her daughter go through a similar emotional ordeal when she believed her father, Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews), had passed away. However, if Rory is still alive, it’s likely that he has told the PCPD the truth, and the whole thing was staged to distract The Hook from their plan and keep Rory safe after he confessed his love for Trina.
