General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, March 16, reveals that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) shut down the conflict Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) tried to start with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) and urged him to watch his tone.

Sonny urged that Spencer and Dex must get along amicably when Spencer claimed that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) had broken up with Cameron Webber (William Lipton) to be with Dex.

Dex returned to the living room after Sonny left for Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) residence.

Dex wondered what Spencer believed he was lying about when he asked him why he was lying to Sonny.

Dex acted as though Joss wasn’t the kind of person to do that when Spencer suspected Dex was snooping around with Josslyn.

Josslyn reassured Cameron at Kelly’s that Dex wasn’t like Sonny and rather that he enjoy his time at Stanford rather than be concerned about her.

At Spring Ridge, Tabyana Ali’s character Trina Robinson gave Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) Ace Cassadine’s (Jay and Joey Clay) binky and introduced herself.

Esme acknowledged it and claimed to be familiar with Trina.

Esme wondered why she had hated Trina so much and stressed that she just knew what her lawyers had informed her.

Esme refused to answer Trina’s question about if she was admitting guilt because she couldn’t recall.

Despite this, Esme felt unlike the person that everyone had described to her.

Esme explained to Trina that she had no intention of hurting anyone and that all she wanted was the freedom to raise her child.

Trina said that Ace was Spencer’s younger brother, but Esme retorted angrily that Spencer couldn’t have her child!

Esme was also concerned that Spencer would be waiting outside after sending Trina.

Esme was informed by Trina that Spencer was unaware of her presence and that she had only been by to check on Esme and the infant.

She persuaded Esme to acknowledge that prison wasn’t the best environment for a baby, despite the fact that Esme was fortunate because Spring Ridge permitted her to keep Ace.

Esme understood that to be true, but she insisted on keeping her infant with her.

Trina remarked that she could see it after Esme spoke about how much she loved Ace.

Esme thought it wasn’t fair for her to go to prison right away because she couldn’t remember what she had done, and she also thought it wasn’t fair for Ace.

Esme also claimed that Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) had seemingly persuaded her, but Trina asserted that neither Esme nor anyone else coerced her into taking drugs or filming Cam and Joss having a sexual encounter.

Esme questioned Trina’s knowledge of this and indicated Ryan might have intimidated Trina. Esme believed there was no way to be certain without her memories.

Esme felt Trina had come to check on her to see if she was lying when she inquired if she had passed the test.

Esme stated that she didn’t think she would ever remember her life before to this after insisting she had no recollection of it.

Esme left the room with Ace, and Trina contacted Josslyn to arrange a meeting with Cam and Spencer at Sonny’s apartment.

Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) denied being intoxicated and pretended that his orange juice spill was purely the result of clumsiness in Thursday’s GH episode at the Metro Court.

Nancy Lee Grahn’s character, Alexis Davis, was still worried about Gregory’s slurred speech. Alexis asked Gregory for his car keys and offered to take him to his next appointment.

Despite being offended, Gregory offered Alexis his keys and promised to call a car.

Gregory cautioned Alexis that he didn’t want to see her again after instructing her to leave the keys with the concierge.

Gregory hadn’t been served alcohol, according to Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), who had verified with the on-duty bartender after receiving updates on the situation from Alexis.

Nonetheless, Alexis speculated that Gregory might be on medication or have a flask. Alexis could tell Gregory was concealing something.

Nina was anticipating Terry Randolph’s (Cassandra James) phone call with Liesl Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) last test results while she waited in her apartment.

Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) kept calling Obrecht, but Nina persuaded her to make amends with him.

Terry called Liesl on the phone after Sonny arrived.

In the end, Obrecht admitted she would be Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) donor, but she also mentioned there was an issue.

Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) got sidetracked by Amelia Corinthos’ charms at the Quartermaine home, so Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) thought she couldn’t compete and recommended a vacation from organizing the Nurses Ball.

Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) chatted with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) about Bailey Louise Jones (London and Jett Prinzo-Berendt) when she was that age.

Brook Lynn was in a tender moment when Maxie quietly intervened and persuaded her to tell Chase the truth.

Chase and Amelia chatted in the living room while Chase crossed his hopes that Liesl would be accepted as Willow’s donor.

When Brook Lynn and Chase met up again, she immediately said she desired him.

Chase informed Brook Lynn that he got in by pretending to be there for a Nurses Ball performance as Brook Lynn had done.

She informed Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), Carly, Willow, and Obrecht that she had been given the all-clear to donate but that they couldn’t immediately harvest the stem cells.

The transplant had been delayed, according to Liesl, so that she could flush out some drugs.

When they were back with Sonny and Nina, they talked about the transplant delay before discussing the incident from last night.

Sonny reminded out that Nina had stated she didn’t want to know anything about his business when she found out he was increasing security.

Nina wasn’t so sure about the choice once some difficulty appeared.

As soon as Dex let Cameron and Josslyn in Sonny’s penthouse, things became tense. Before Trina arrived, Dex allowed them in and excused himself to go to the bedroom.

Trina shared with the group her encounter with Esme and her love for Ace. Esme was quite convincing if she was lying.

Trina intended to go the DA and request that the charges against Esme be dropped for this reason.

Josslyn expressed skepticism about the viability of such strategy, and Spencer at first reacted angrily to the idea of letting Esme go free.

Trina wanted to free Ace from prison despite the fact that he could have to stay at Spring Ridge for months prior to the trial. Trina didn’t believe that Esme would receive real justice since, if she were tried in this situation, the jury could feel sorry for her.

Trina believed it would be best to postpone Esme’s prosecution. Esme may then be judged and found guilty if she made a mistake and demonstrated that her memory had returned.

For the sake of Ace, Cameron, Josslyn, and Spencer all consented to this decision after Trina maintained that she would be fine with Esme roaming around freely.

The entire gang made plans to see Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) immediately after making a brief call to her.

Esme was an infant, and Spencer couldn’t believe he was now wishing for her liberation. A prison was not a place for a child.

Spencer hoped Trina was right when she said she didn’t believe Esme posed a threat to anyone.

A guard brought Esme a letter from Spring Ridge. Esme’s eyes widened as she realized it was from Heather Webber (Alley Mills), and she threw it away from her out of fear.

Esme eventually picked up the envelope and opened it after growing inquisitive. Esme looked surprised as she opened the letter and read it.

Stay tuned because according to General Hospital teasers, Heather may have a few more tricks in her sleeve.
