Information and spoilers about General Hospital In this week’s Sneak Look, Portia Ashford (Brook Kerr) attempts to justify her decision to remain silent for so many years to Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner). For not even raising the issue of Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) paternity or making an effort to ascertain it, Curtis will lash out in rage at his new wife.
General Hospital Spoilers: Portia Ashford Rationalizes
After Trina left their honeymoon suite, crying over Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews), Portia speaks with Curtis again and explains her choices. Curtis doesn’t seem to be buying what she’s attempting to convince him of, so how might she succeed? She makes this statement since she was considering Taggert and Trina and how they had shaped each other’s whole lives.
She goes on to state that she considered the harm it would do to their relationship as they both glance down and inhale deeply. She continues by telling Curtis that, whether he believes it or not, she had been thinking of him as well.
GH Spoilers: She Attempts to Explain It
Portia continues by saying that she often imagined informing Curtis and how it would affect him; she knew he would be mentally adding up all the years he had been away. As she describes every milestone, birthday, and holiday and how horrible they would all be if she even brought up the prospect, Curtis turns his head away and closes his eyes. After becoming weary of her justifications, he eventually reacts, pointing out that it wasn’t even the same reason she used against him when his father returned. They are currently in a relationship because he followed to her advice to put the past behind him and focus on a future with Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett). He had assumed his father was dead and gone for years, but he now has the luxury of getting to know him.
General Hospital Spoilers: Curtis Ashford Lashes Out
Portia acknowledges that he is correct but adds that she believes the two scenarios are rather dissimilar. If she turns out to be his, she wants him and Trina to have the same relationship that he does with his father. Curtis confronts her, stating it was never her purpose, and answers angrily, shaking his head nay.
Has Portia ever sought or meant to learn the truth? Does Curtis want her to be honest with him? Portia keeps sobbing. “Or was it her goal to die while living the lie she had told herself and everyone else for all those years.”
