Spoilers for General Hospital hint Cynthia Watros’s character, Nina Reeves, cares for her buddy Curtis Ashford. (Donnell Turner). Since the beginning of their relationship, Curtis has been living in denial about the possibility that Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), his wife, and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), their mother, are actually related.
The falsehoods Curtis’ ex-wife, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper), fed him were bad enough, but it turns out that things can get worse. Now that he is unsure of the direction his relationship with Portia will take, Nina will become a significant source of comfort for him because she is aware of both his and Portia’s potential emotions. Nina will be urged to support her friend by Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West), but will their solace in each other’s company lead to something riskier?
General Hospital Spoilers — Curtis is Unraveling at the Seams
Curtis is thinking about giving up his recovery and returning to the world of addiction, which has previously come dangerously close to taking his life. No one could have predicted this, not his aunt Stella Henry (Vernee Watson), Jordan, Portia, or Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett). Curtis wasn’t nearly as awful during his previous breakup. He was unhappy that his marriage to his then-best buddy didn’t work out, and his heart was undoubtedly broken. But he wasn’t attempting to submerge himself in a container of alcohol. He is now having difficulty resisting that urge.
GH Spoilers Hint Ava Pushes Nina to Be There for Curtis
Ava will be able to see things from a slightly different angle when Nina informs her how terrible things are with Curtis. She is conscious of the difficulties Trina is experiencing as a result of this and that Trina might soon contemplate taking the paternity test that would establish whether Curtis is Trina’s biological father.
She isn’t in a position to tell Nina that knowledge yet, but she has a feeling that telling Curtis if Trina is his daughter would offer him some sense of security. She will advise Trina not to put off taking the exam if she is eventually going to get it, and Nina to support Curtis now until things settle down.
General Hospital Spoilers — Is There More to This Than Friendship?
Nina often develops a tendency to become rather focused on whatever it is that she is concentrating all of her energy on. This time, Curtis might be that thing. When she is struggling so much in her own life due to the lack of control she has over preserving her daughter’s life, perhaps it will give her a feeling of control to help keep him on the right track of sobriety.
Nina may find comfort in Curtis’ unstable embrace as trouble strikes the home front and her relationship with Sonny, but Curtis’ struggles may also serve as a pleasant diversion from Nina’s sorrow. Are these pals on the verge of becoming more than just acquaintances?
