Whether or not fans like the reason for how she was born will likely be debatable among fans. A long time ago, Felicia became a victim of Ryan Chamberlain’s cunning (Jon Lindstrom). It took some time for Felicia to understand how much evil Ryan was hiding behind those alluring eyes.
He was a homicidal maniac rather than a man of mystery. Ryan was living with Felicia for a while before she realised what she was going through, but once she did, she decided to leave him and everything that had occurred between them in the past. Even though she still cannot recall her daughter, Ryan would follow her around for years to come.
General Hospital Spoilers — Felicia Knows No Better
Felicia was pregnant by Mac at the time, but she was unaware of it until it was too late to inform him. She left Port Charles and hid out in Texas with Ryan. Could Felicia have been brainwashed to give up that kid — a continuous reminder of Mac, in Ryan’s view — once she was fully entrenched in a very different existence in his grasp? Is it conceivable that she has no recollection of putting her daughter up for adoption, let alone being pregnant at the time?
GH Spoilers Hint Heather Played a Role Way Back Then
If this is the course of events, how did Heather Webber (Alley Mills) enter the picture and why are she and Ryan acting like Esme’s parents? Contrary to what we have seen, Ryan may have contacted Heather first. It’s difficult to say who discovered Esme first, but Ryan—despite his assertions that he was so over her—might have believed that was the best way to get back into Felicia’s good graces.
He wasn’t surprised to see Felicia there when he went to Wyndemere to face Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West). It’s possible that Ryan and Heather are acting like Esme’s parents to humiliate Mac and Felicia one last time and cause emotional distress to their kid.
General Hospital Spoilers — The Symbology Between Felicia and Esme is Thick
Esme is presently experiencing forgetfulness, and because of her memory loss, she is unable to recall anything that happened before being brought to General Hospital for hypothermia. Esme’s situation is fortunate, but the memory loss may be a reference to Felicia’s earlier experience of being manipulated by Ryan into forgetting she even had the daughter he stole from her. Will either of them realise the extent of the suffering Ryan has inflicted upon them?
