Spoilers for General Hospital indicate Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), who turned herself in to the police and left Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss), to clear up his own mess wherever he may be, has been carrying around far too much remorse.
She now feels as though she owes Laura Collins (Genie Francis) an explanation for turning her back on her son and abandoning him to the dogs after reconciling with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and telling Cameron “Cam” Webber (William Lipton) the truth. She couldn’t be more mistaken, though.
General Hospital Spoilers — Elizabeth Webber Seeks Out Laura Collins
Elizabeth has long believed that Laura fills the maternal role that her own mother, Carolyn Webber, lacked. (Denise Crosby). After being essentially abandoned by her parents at the age of 15, Liz fell for Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson), Laura’s other son, and she ended up becoming the substitute mother Elizabeth really needed.
Laura has done a lot for Elizabeth’s children, regarding each of them as her grandkids along the way as a grandma to her youngest son Aiden Spencer (Enzo De Angelis). Elizabeth now wants to make amends for her actions because she can’t stand the thought of Laura disliking her.
GH Spoilers – Hint Her Apology Is Uncalled For
The Mayor will comfort Elizabeth that none of it is required before Elizabeth has a chance to finish her apology to Laura. Since Laura is familiar with Elizabeth’s character, she is confident that she made her choices with the best of intentions, one of which was to assist her son in protecting his own boy. How on earth could she criticize Elizabeth for that? Laura feels that now is not the appropriate moment to apologize. If not for Elizabeth caring for Esme during her pregnancy—given that it was her only prenatal care for the length of it—her new grandchild might not even be here.
General Hospital Spoilers — Nikolas Cassadine Had It Coming
Nikolas never precisely served as a cornerstone of society. He has always carried out actions in a Cassadine manner, paying little attention to the harm caused to others in the process. Laura is well aware of this and trusts the legal system to determine Nikolas’ culpability or innocence should he ever show up again to answer for his crimes. She will continue to tidy up the wreckage he left behind while he fled the area to avoid persecution and abandoned yet another kid in the process.
