General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Friday, January 20, teases that Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) will lash out at Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) for pushing too hard. It’s clear that Marshall’s uncomfortable with the idea of genetic screening and potentially getting a new diagnosis.
Marshall has accepted his schizophrenia, so he may argue that it’s shaped so much of his life.
It’s the reason Marshall left his family all those years ago, so how could he process the news that perhaps he didn’t have to?
Portia will try to convince Marshall anyway, but it may be Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) who ultimately gets through to his dad.
After Marshall opens up about his regrets and fears, Curtis may reassure him that nothing will shake the bond they’ve formed now.
If Marshall gets tested and learns doesn’t have schizophrenia after all, maybe he’ll open his mind to the idea of performing a clarinet solo at the nuptials.
As for Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), his rebellious side will get on Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) last nerve.
Victor will warn about what a mistake it’d be to defy him again and will deliver a veiled death threat.
After Victor makes another stunning move, Nikolas will realize he’s crossed the line and will land in truly scary territory.
At the hospital, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will think Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) needs to take a long, hard look in the mirror.
Carly sees Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) as the enemy, but Carly’s own behavior is just as bad.
Once Michael rants about Carly keeping the bio mom shocker from Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), he’ll just hope that secret doesn’t cost Willow her life.
Next, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will land in a tight spot.
Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) will ask if Liz and Finn might reunite romantically, but they may not want to give her false hope.
Nevertheless, Liz will always be in Violet’s life, so she may assure her that they’ll still spend time together and be part of each other’s world.
Back at GH, Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) will fight back once Mason (Nathanyael Grey) delivers more instructions from the boss lady.
This arrangement just isn’t working for Austin, who’ll rough Mason up and warn that they’re finished.
Over with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), she’ll be pleased to hear that Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) is getting away from the mob drama.
Dex will assure Josslyn that he plans to end his employment with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) in the very near future.
Whether Dex gets into the details of why or not, he’ll hope to wrap up his takedown mission for Michael and concentrate on Josslyn soon.
Unfortunately, there’ll be a snag when Cameron Webber (William Lipton) makes a heartbreaking discovery.
Once Cam shows up at Josslyn’s dorm room to hopefully salvage their friendship, he’ll find shirtless Dex there.
Cameron will be hurt over Josslyn moving on so quickly, but then he’ll realize a romance has probably been going on behind his back.
It’ll lead to Josslyn confirming that she cheated, so Cam will be even more crushed.
Once Cameron gets updates on the situation, General Hospital spoilers say Josslyn will have to explain and contain it as best as she can!
