Of course, whispers between two sociopaths in a cell don’t necessarily indicate that the truth will surface any time soon. Ryan has kept Esme’s biological mother’s identity a secret so far, and he probably has his own motivations for doing so. Has he simply desired to have Esme to himself? It’s possible that he believes Heather will seduce her away from him or maybe turn her against him.
Esme, on the other hand, might mean absolutely nothing to him, but he has required someone to carry out his orders while he is imprisoned in Spring Ridge while feigning to be shut in. Esme was the ideal applicant, and she simply dropped into his lap. In either case, we’re eager to find out what happens next.
