Spoilers for General Hospital indicate Cameron Mathison’s character, Drew Cain, believes that a cover-up is unquestionably involved in the great secret he is about to uncover. He just is unaware that his own girlfriend, Carly Spencer, is the beginning and the finish of the cover-up (Laura Wright). When Drew confronted Denise Makenzie (Alice Rietvield) about her lying at Charlie’s, Carly arrived just in time to diffuse the situation and encourage Denise to embellish her story.
Of course, the other option was to expose Carly. Drew’s bleeding heart may suffer as long as Denise keeps draining Carly empty. Drew will be unsure of how to respond to Carly’s account of Harmony Miller’s (Inga Cadranel) final remarks when he notices a few peculiarities that make him uneasy. He’ll eventually be the one who suffers from hurt feelings, though.
General Hospital Spoilers — Carly’s Behavior Alarms Drew
Drew couldn’t help but think back to when Carly initially told him what Harmony had said to her as he listened to the unfavorable assessments of Harmony Miller from Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Phyllis Caulfield (Alexis Davis). Drew doesn’t yet know why that memory keeps coming back to him, but he will soon have a suspicion that he will desperately hope isn’t true.
Carly wouldn’t truly tell him the DNA test findings were false. Why did she initially tell him if that was her intended course of action? This is the kind of self-justification he will engage in before being forced to face the obvious.
GH Spoilers Hint Their Relationship is On the Line
For Drew, this situation involves more than just disappointing Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen). He is aware that if he cannot locate her biological parents, Willow may not be able to receive the bone marrow transplant she requires, which may result in her death—possibly even before she is able to give birth to her daughter. Not only that, but his relationship with Carly will also be in jeopardy as he develops suspicions that she is acting dishonestly in an effort to prevent Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) from seeing yet another daughter that she was unaware she had.
Additionally, Drew will lose faith in Carly if he realizes she might have thwarted his efforts to learn the truth. He won’t want to ruin Carly’s life or her connection to Willow and Michael Corinthos, despite this (Chad Duell). How is he going to address this issue and make things right with Carly without disclosing all she did to the public?
