Spoilers for General Hospital indicate Despite Ned Quartermaine’s (Wally Kurth) best attempts to make Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) anxious about the future and get him worked up, he just might be able to protect himself from the SEC. Ned has been threatening to report insider dealing to the SEC on Drew and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).
The Q business mogul still harbors resentment toward Drew for trying to combine Aurora Media with ELQ and force Ned out of the family company. Ned will take advantage of any opportunity to protect Carly and himself from harm when he reports Drew to the SEC, but he won’t be anticipating the way it will come back to haunt them both.
General Hospital Spoilers — Carly and Drew Say I Do
The only thing Drew and Carly will think of to defend themselves once they recognize how deeply they are in trouble and that the SEC will probably be knocking on their doors any second is to get married. It just so happens that Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) have been preparing for a nuptials that will now have to wait until Willow receives her bone marrow donation.
Until Drew makes the bold suggestion that he and Carly take the leap, a perfectly fine wedding will go to waste. They’ll pretend to be confident about it even though it may seem imminent to everyone else in order to avoid having to witness against one another in court.
GH Spoilers Hint Drew is in the Clear
Drew will benefit greatly from this marital decision in the aftermath of the abandoned merger. He won’t be unhappy about getting married to Carly, it’s true. He already has feelings for her. However, if they hadn’t needed to, they wouldn’t have chosen this course of action. Nevertheless, he and Carly will try to make the best of the situation.
For Drew, this will largely dispel the SEC’s assumption that he and Carly were working together on the insider trading transaction. That doesn’t mean they won’t continue to look for ways to put Carly on the line, though. After all, it was she who stood to gain the most significantly.
General Hospital Spoilers — Michael is at Risk
The SEC will focus on Carly’s son, Michael, when they discover they don’t have a solid case against Drew without her evidence against him showing he was the one who told her about the proposed merger. There is no way for Carly and Michael to prevent themselves from having to turn against one another — unless they’re both ready to lie under testimony. He also knew about the plans to merge ELQ and Aurora Media. When Michael is targeted at this precise moment, how far will this go? Will Ned come to lament his choice?
