General Hospital Spoilers: Dante’s Past Haunts Him As He Says Goodbye To Rory

General Hospital spoilers indicate that Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) proudly maintained equilibrium between his personal and professional lives is about to crumble. Dante wasn’t prepared for his new partner Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) to be injured by a hook to the abdomen and die while Dante was waiting in the corridor. It might stir up certain memories that Dante would much rather leave in the past, but he will handle this loss in a healthy way. As he tries to piece together what went wrong with Rory, will his secret transgression with Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) haunt him?

General Hospital Spoilers — Rory’s Death Shakes Things Up

We’ve been aware for some time that Dante’s history contains a sinister element. He and Cody got into some sort of difficulty when he was a juvenile, and it sounds like Cody covered for whatever Dante actually did. The two boys’ future lives could have taken quite different paths as a result of this. If Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) even knows the truth about what her son was doing at the time, that remains to be seen.

Dante doesn’t appear to be the type to lie about something like that, even though it might be a pretty crime. Why did Cody act as his defender? Was it only done out of a sense of brotherhood? However, the fact that Dante didn’t have Rory’s back this time and couldn’t stop his death can cause serious déjà vu for him.

GH Spoilers Hint Cody Won’t Know How to Support Dante

Cody is a decent man. Even if he has done and continues to do awful things, he is not a bad person. In response to Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) report that Dante failed to return home the evening after Rory died, Cody said he didn’t think keeping secrets was particularly unusual for Dante. Sam corrected him, and Cody realized how little he actually knew about the adult Dante has become since they were children. Will he develop resentment at Dante for the life he has chosen for himself?

possibly, possibly not Cody may have boosted Dante and Sam’s spirits by checking in on Dante by calling Mac Scorpio (John J. York), but as time goes on and Dante doesn’t get out of this slump, Cody will begin to draw unsettling parallels.

Cody isn’t the only one who will have their eye on Dante, though. Sam has been watching both of them for weeks now, and she knows there’s something between them that amounts to more than just friendship built on summers at camp. Still, Dante seems to have a soft spot for Cody and sometimes it helps him overlook the guy’s shortcomings. This actually is out of character for Dante, who prefers to associate only with people who are on the up-and-up. As Sam starts to see the light in Dante’s eyes dwindling following Rory’s death, and his behavior toward Cody shifting, she might reconsider her decision not to look into Cody’s past — and she might scope out Dante’s at the same time.
