As his father made up an excuse to leave Portia’s office with tears in his eyes, Curtis noticed the expression in his father’s eyes. After being so concerned for his son, he claimed to feel relieved. However, he didn’t appear to be relieved from the way he appeared. It appeared as though the dad had long harbored doubts that Curtis wasn’t his son, and he had now proven them. Although Curtis wishes it weren’t the case, there doesn’t appear to be a more logical reason.
