General Hospital Spoilers: Cody Tells Dante The Truth — “Mac Is My Dad”

Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) are reportedly set to have a major heart-to-heart, and if they don’t agree, things might go south fairly soon. Cody has recently been having bad luck, and he regrets his decision to conceal the results of the paternity test he had with Mac Scorpio (John J. York).

While he and Mac still hang out and are friends, Cody finds it difficult to pretend that they aren’t father and son because he wants Mac to understand as well. Dante’s reaction won’t be what Cody had anticipated when he tells him what he’s done.

Dante won’t hesitate to tell Cody what to do; he never does. When he urges Cody to tell Mac the truth as soon as possible, Cody is going to have a good laugh at Dante’s expense. Dante is every bit as much of a liar as Cody is, but he seems to ignore that fact in favor of moving on with his life. So why can’t Cody do the same?

When Cody notices that Dante is perplexed by what he finds to be so ironically amusing, he will gleefully point out the terrible reality. At least according to Cody, Dante is lying to everyone he loves about who he truly is. Dante may not believe that one mistake in the past defines who he is, but it is clear that he has kept the truth hidden from everyone for so long because he knows it will drastically alter his life and the perceptions of others. So, it must have a significant effect. Why don’t Dante’s standards for honesty in his relationship with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) match up with Cody’s?

Cody isn’t going to feel so hot about telling Dante the truth. When Cody doesn’t agree with Dante’s approach to handling the situation with honesty, Cody is going to be left feeling like Dante might circumvent him and tell Mac the truth anyway. That’s the last thing Cody needs. If Dante threatens to tell Mac soon if Cody doesn’t, Cody could turn around and leverage the same threat against Dante.
