General Hospital spoilers reveal Cody Bell’s (Josh Kelly) life has been transformed since he parachuted into Port Charles — and into Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). He came to town in pursuit of a $35 million necklace that was last known to be in Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) possession, although the last legal owner was Leopold Taub (Chip Lucia).

Cody arrived in town with the intention of going for Britt because he knew the jewelry would now have to be with Peter’s heirs. Blackmailing Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) into pairing him with Britt via Society Setups was the quickest route he found into Britt’s orbit in an effort to enter her inner circle as quickly as possible.

Now that he’s become friends with the doctor, she has assisted him in gathering the guts to take a paternity test and determine whether Mac Scorpio (John J. York) or Leopold Taub is his father. Cody found this difficult to do because he desires both a father like Mac and the fortune that comes with the necklace.

It’s possible that Cody is not as close to obtaining that necklace as he had hoped. Recently, Britt was telling Cody that Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaugnessy) was the rightful heir to the estate, and Victor isn’t about to let Cody stand in his way.

He is aware that he must gain access to the necklace, but doing so is incredibly difficult while it is securely stored inside a safe. He will therefore inform the authorities that the necklace contains fragments of the Ice Princess diamond in the hope that they will seize it and take it to the WSB. This might seriously thwart Cody’s plans to become wealthy, but it might also make his entire scheme to trick Mac completely ineffective.
