Spoilers for General Hospital indicate Josh Kelly’s character, Cody Bell, regrets his decision to mislead Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and his entire family regarding the findings of the DNA test they both underwent. He worried and told them otherwise when a conclusive response revealed Mac to be Cody’s father.
Cody had to maintain the lie that Leopold Taub (Chip Lucia) was his father at the time in order to be able to sell the jewelry that Leopold had left behind. Cody wishes he could go back in time because he is currently without the pendant and his father. Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), who he informs about his difficult lesson, will press him to tell Mac the truth. If that isn’t labeling the kettle dark, then what is.
General Hospital Spoilers — “Mac is My Father”
When Cody isn’t feeling too good about his life, Dante will notice, and it won’t take much prodding before Cody blurts out the truth—that Mac is truly his father. Dante will likely be quite shocked, but on the other hand, this is what he should have learned to anticipate from Cody a long time ago.
GH Spoilers Hint Dante’s Moral Superiority Shines Through
When Dante advises Cody that being honest is the best course of action, he doesn’t hold back. He believes Cody should stop dithering and tell Mac right away, which Cody will likely find rather amusing. Cody would be thrilled if Mac discovered the truth, provided there were no unfavorable repercussions.
Things would be different if he could go back and do it over knowing that he wouldn’t get the jewelry in the end. However, by informing Mac right away, he would put his father on notice that he values money more than his family. Cody doesn’t believe he can meet the expectations his father has for him personally, and he doesn’t believe Dante has any space to discuss being honest.
General Hospital Spoilers — Cody Blasts Dante’s Hypocrisy
Dante sometimes seems to have lost his history and who he really is, according to Cody’s vantage point. Cody believed that Dante’s entire existence since moving to Port Charles might be a fabrication. Nobody is aware of what Dante did in the past, and it must be so terrible that he is prepared to spend the remainder of his days attempting to maintain this secrecy. He hasn’t been truthful with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) or his family and doesn’t plan to be. Dante backs off and attempts to argue that it’s not the same thing when Cody reminds him of this because he fears the cat might capture his tongue.
