General Hospital Spoilers: Carly Isn’t Keen On Alexis Helping Drew’s Search

General Hospital tease spoilers Finding out that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) had enlisted a different person to assist in his quest for Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen’s) birth parents upset Carly Spencer (Laura Wright). Carly jumped on board when he asked for his assistance in the mission knowing that she would have to keep an eye on his leads so she could throw him off course whenever she had the chance. She didn’t anticipate that he would require or desire assistance from others.

Carly was shocked to learn that he was friendly with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) at Charlie’s when he sat down to talk about the information she had about the enigmatic woman Denise Makenzie (Alice Rietveld), who Denise Makenzie claimed to be Willow’s birth mother. Alexis might have a checkered past and a reneged bar license, but as the Editor-in-Chief of The Invader, she has resources that Drew just doesn’t have. He knew Alexis was the best person for the job when he needed to verify whether or not anyone named Joan died during the timeframe Denise gave him in the location she reported. Drew didn’t know why at the time, but he had a nagging suspicion everything wasn’t on the up and up with Denise. Little does he know, Carly is the reason for that sneaking suspicion in the back of his mind.

GH Spoilers Hint Alexis Has Skin in the Game

Considering that Alexis had a close relationship with Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel), she was a smart candidate to follow up on this lead and others with Drew. Harmony and Alexis even shared a room for a brief while until Alexis eventually learned about Harmony’s problems soon before she tragically and accidentally died.

The betrayal of Harmony’s friendship and learning that she was responsible for the death of Alexis’ ex-boyfriend Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan) left Alexis shaken. Nothing would make Alexis happier than the possibility of making amends for that mistake and providing Neil with a semblance of justice by exposing another of Harmony’s falsehoods and reconnecting Willow with her biological parents.

General Hospital Spoilers — Drew Won’t Take Kindly to Carly’s Implications

This time around, Carly will have her work cut out for her. When Denise led Drew so far off course that he was unable to recover, she assumed with certainty that he would hand the torch over. He wasn’t meant to check her facts and discover that she was lying. Only after Carly seemed to cajole her into it did she begin to tell her new tale. That didn’t hit Drew when it occurred, but it might when Carly starts bringing up fresh justifications for why Drew might not be able to continue to rely on Alexis’ assistance. Drew will begin to worry that his partner is up to no good when it seems like Carly is making irrational and unfounded charges against Alexis.
