In February, Laura had to debunk a rumor about Carly. If there’s anything that we’ve learned about Laura Wright over the years, it’s that she loves to engage with her fans on social media. Seeing how Carly was distancing herself from Sonny now that he’s spending more time with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) a lot of people couldn’t help but wonder if this means she’ll be taking a much-needed break from the canvas. According to Laura, that’s not the case at all.
When one fan asked Laura if she’s taking a break from General Hospital, she responded with, “Nope. People love to start rumors.”
General Hospital Spoilers: What’s Next For Carly?
In November, Laura admitted that her character has finally realized that her world doesn’t need to revolve around everything that Sonny does. She said, “When I first started, Carly wanted Sonny back and her family together with him, no matter what, at all costs. It didn’t happen immediately — she fell in love with Jax for five or six years — and when she finally got back together with Sonny, it was like, ‘Right, this is what it should be.’”
She said, “There were familial and life situations that helped her mature. She was by Sonny’s side when his father gave his last breath, and they both buried their son together. When you have children, I believe that life presents you with scenarios and circumstances that drive you to act differently every day.
This is going to be a period for character development, says Laura Wright, who has been playing Carly for years, in an interview with Soap Opera Digest. You’ll see a different side of her when she returns home, she says the tabloid. We’ll see how long it lasts! She remains the same. She continues to be a scrapper, refuses to take anything from anyone, and is still fiercely devoted to her family as a mother bear.
She said, “But this is something that was almost like supernatural intervention. “She had absolutely no intention of going to Jacksonville, but she did. All of this just dropped into her lap, without any mishaps.
