General Hospital Spoilers: Are Nina’s Feelings For Sonny Rooted In Love For Him

Spoilers for General Hospital hint Since she reconciled with Sonny Corinthos, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) hasn’t really gotten a chance to breathe (Maurice Benard). When she first returned from Nixon Falls, she spent a lot of time wondering if she was missing “Mike” or Sonny, but it was a difficult question to answer because she hardly knew Sonny. Nina might start to wonder if it’s really Sonny who keeps her interested now that they’ve established a comfortable relationship or if she just enjoys the drama that maintaining their relationship brings.

General Hospital Spoilers — Nina and Sonny Try Too Hard

Every time Nina and Sonny’s relationship is going well and no one is criticizing them, Nina seems to be on the lookout for conflict. She simply is unable to experience joy in the little things the way Sonny has. Sonny was altered by his nearly one-year stay in Nixon Falls as Mike. He realized that he desired more calm and less chaos in his life. Nina genuinely believed that she wanted the same thing, but she is so dissatisfied when she cannot defend her love for her man with her life. Is the amount of effort Nina is putting into her relationship truly worth it?

GH Spoilers Indicate Nina Loved Mike

After leaving Port Charles with a broken heart, Nina developed a strong love for Mike. He was the safe haven she required at the time, and it didn’t hurt that by keeping Sonny away from Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and the rest of his family, she felt as though she was also betraying her. Nina wanted to stay out of Wiley Corinthos’ (Viron Weaver) life because she was upset with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) for the way they treated her daughter, Nelle Benson-Jerome (Chloe Lanier).

Her romance with Mike might have been genuine, but Nina still found an added benefit in it the entire time knowing she was getting her revenge. Now that everyone has moved on from what she did, is Nina finding that a relationship with Sonny is far less exciting if everyone is allowing her to have it?

When Sonny thought he was Mike, Nina may have shown genuine interest in him, but as their relationship progresses, the more fixated she appears to be on keeping Sonny. Does she really fear losing him, or is it just Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) that she fears losing?
