General Hospital’s Sonny Corinthos has been a powerful figure in Port Chuck for nearly three decades. However, that could all change soon on GH. And the kingpin could soon lose everything on the ABC daytime drama.
General Hospital: Michael Corinthos Out for Vengeance
Currently, on GH, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) is out to destroy his father, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Indeed, Michael feels that his dad betrayed their family by choosing Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) over them.
So, Michael wants to dismantle his organization and send him to prison. That’s why he hired Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) as a mole. So, they can take him down from the inside, recall General Hospital recaps.
Naturally, there have been a few bumps in the road. Recently, Mikey made the decision to abandon the plan and put his growing family first.
But then, Dex gave Michael Corinthos new info. And it could give them what they need to destroy the mobster on General Hospital.
Sonny Corinthos Threatened on GH
Dex then provided Michael Corinthos with additional information. And it might provide them with the ammunition they need to take down the mob boss on General Hospital. Threats are coming from all directions these days for Sonny Corinthos. In addition to his son Michael’s determination to destroy him, a fresh potential threat is developing. Last week, the mob boss was offered with a proposition by Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).
Fans of General Hospital will remember that Sonny wants to work with Pikeman Security Group. They intend to transport illicit goods via his region. Additionally, they are prepared to pay him $10 million for each cargo. That is a generous offer, in fact.
But if he rejects the offer, Pikeman will use a different channel. Sonny will then be “removed” because he is aware of their plans. The don went to Dex to tell him about this potential new business endeavor after his conversation with Val.
It appears like he will accept Pikeman’s demands. Dex will be responsible for managing the shipments. Dex and Michael, his boss, now have the ideal opportunity to attack him.
The End of Sonny’s Reign on General Hospital?
Sonny Corinthos appears to be being surrounded by walls, but he isn’t yet aware of this. The mob boss is obviously aware of their plans to harm him. He isn’t aware that Dex is working for him, though.
It’s still not apparent how committed the rookie is to betraying his fictitious boss. He initially appeared to believe Sonny was decent. But after that, he tormented Dex on General Hospital by hanging him on a meat hook.
Dex now appears more determined to bring an end to the don’s criminal empire. Additionally, detective Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), Sonny’s oldest son, recently challenged him.
Dante has struggled to maintain his relationship with his gangster father and his work as a police officer separate. He consequently finds himself turning away from his father as a result. And that, as General Hospital recaps show, doesn’t sit well with him.

He warned his father that he must uphold the law if necessary. Sonny understands his son’s perspective. He promised Dante that he would always love him, even if the time ever came when he had to arrest him.
Therefore, what will happen to the mob chief may be foreshadowed by Dante’s conversation with his father. It’s possible that Dex or this latest endeavor with Pikeman may bring down the Godfather of Port Charles.
