General Hospital Recaps: Monday, January 9

Katelyn MacMullen’s Willow Tait and Chad Duell’s Michael Corinthos are informed that her possible bone marrow donor is not healthy enough to undergo the operation. When Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) decides to move in with Sonny Corinthos, Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) is not happy (Maurice Benard). Sonny declines Victor’s request to speak up for Marcus Coloma’s Nikolas Cassadine (Nikolas Cassadine) with Spencer. Sonny later discovers Willow’s medical records.

Tanisha Harper, Michael E. Knight, and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) interrogate Esme Prince despite Martin Grey’s (Michael E. Knight) attempts to delay them (Avery Kristen Pohl). After that, Dante says he dislikes Esme because of The Hook killings. Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) tells Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) about Nikolas’ affair and her scheme to take over Wyndemere from her soon-to-be ex-husband.

Despite his best efforts, Nikolas is unable to persuade Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to assist him in obtaining exclusive custody of his and Esme’s child.

Victor learns that Esme was being held captive by Nikolas in Wyndemere’s north tower.

Michael Easton’s character Hamilton Finn recommends they search Spoon Island after overhearing Dante and Jordan discussing the necessity to discover where Esme has been hiding.

Sonny and Nina peruse Willow’s file; they’re aghast to learn that she has leukemia and forewent treatment until after her first trimester. Nina assumes that Michael forced Willow’s hand and sets off to confront her…A guilt-riddled Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) bemoans Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) death and wonders if she’s the cause. Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) comforts Josslyn and the two make love. Josslyn receives a summons from Sonny; she readies to give him a piece of her mind.

Victor takes Nikolas to task for imprisoning Esme. When representatives from the PCPD come calling, Victor insists that Nikolas let them in and scour the castle. No trace of Esme is found — courtesy of Victor. Still, Dante has his suspicions…Laura Collins (Genie Francis) provides much-needed solace to Spencer and Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst)…Spencer pays Esme a visit…Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) confesses to seriously obstructing Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) efforts to find Willow’s biological mother. Drew blurts out that Willow has leukemia; a blindsided Carly tells him that Willow is Nina’s daughter.

Willow has a nightmare in which Nina usurps her place in her children’s lives…Nina is heartened when Wiley expresses his love for her. A cash-strapped Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) asks Sonny to convince Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) to accept an offer made for Brando’s garage…Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) resolves to win Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) back. She engineers a face-to-face, but Chase brings Sasha along. Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) lends Brook Lynn an assist by getting Sasha out of the room…News of Willow’s predicament disseminates.
