General Hospital viewers were a little perplexed when they noticed a new face moving around Port Charles. At first, it appeared as though a new, enigmatic character had entered the scene, but it soon became obvious that Nikolas Cassadine, the renowned dark prince, was actually present. Actor Adam Huss was portraying him instead of Marcus Coloma. The casting shift sent fans into a frenzy. Fans of Marcus began to wonder if their preferred actor had been replaced. However, Adam is only temporarily filling in for the beloved GH star, much to their relief. Marcus corroborated the information and provided more details regarding the cause of his absence.
The adored General Hospital actor addressed the situation by uploading a video of himself on his Instagram account. In the video, which is set to Carly Rae Jepsen’s new single “The Loneliest Time,” Marcus dances while a variety of messages flash on the screen. He reveals that he was diagnosed with COVID a month ago in the messages. He wrote that he will return to the screen the next week while dancing to the song I’m coming back to you, darling. He expressed gratitude to his supporters for the “beautiful affection” they had offered him.
General Hospital Fans And Co-stars Rejoice Marcus’s Return
When Marcus’s return was announced for next week, General Hospital fans sighed with relief. They deluged his comment section with well wishes and messages of love. Some of his followers gushed about how much they enjoy watching him play Nikolas on television and how he is their favorite Nikolas. It should be noted that Nikolas’s character has been recast.

We are very happy to know that Marcus is feeling better now and will return to General Hospital soon. While actor Adam Huss has done a brilliant job as stand-in Nik, but, Nikolas Cassadine doesn’t feel the same without Marcus. Moreover, the fact that a major storyline is in motion on General Hospital with Nik in the center of it, just wouldn’t work the same without Marcus.
