General Hospital Spoilers – Sonny Corinthos Is Spencer Cassadine’s Uncle

Regular viewers will recall that Courtney Matthews, played by Alicia Leigh Willis, was the mother of Spencer, making Sonny Spencer’s uncle. Courtney passed away while giving birth to Spencer since she had encephalitis at the time of his birth, yet Spencer still frequently saw Courtney’s spirit as a child. Although he was too little to remember her, Spencer has a strong connection to her, which is why he feels it’s vital to pay his respects by visiting and decorating her grave.

Sonny Corinthos Never Liked Nikolas Cassadine

Since the time that he was involved with Courtney, Sonny has never liked Nikolas. Because of his lifelong friendship with his mother Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and his connections to both Lulu Spencer and her, he has tolerated him (Emme Rylan). After letting Spencer believe Nikolas was dead for more than five years, Sonny was furious when Nikolas first returned to Port Charles and he yelled at him for it.

But to have slept with Spencer’s girlfriend, whether they are still together or not, is a new low even for Nikolas. Sonny puts Nikolas on notice not to mess with his nephew or ever hurt him like that again, and he means very serious business.
