Spoilers for General Hospital (GH) indicate Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) hasn’t given his domestic problems much thought, and it’s obvious. Since he set out on his mission to humiliate Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), Michael hasn’t given his own family as much thought. When Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) had to start working regular shifts at GH while she was preoccupied with nursing school, she didn’t mind as much.
She wasn’t going to hold it against Michael for not being at her beck and call because she was also quite busy. When Willow later became unwell, she didn’t want Michael to find out what she was up to. But now that he is aware of everything, Willow might be forced to pay dearly for Michael’s obsession with his father.
General Hospital Spoilers — In The Dark About Willow Tait’s Diagnosis
Michael was overjoyed to learn that Willow was expecting and that they would be expanding their family by adding a younger sibling for Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver). They had only been in that bubble of happiness for a short while until Willow’s reality burst it, leaving her with a gray cloud of cancer hanging over her every move.
She kept the diagnosis from Michael for months, and while many people in Willow’s corner might have questioned her intentions in doing that, the bigger misstep here that few have highlighted is how Michael managed to not notice what Willow was struggling with all those months — or how he could have through pregnancy alone left her in such dire straits. The truth is, Michael has been overwhelmed by his plan to ruin Sonny, and he’s not sharing much of that with Willow either.
General Hosptial Updates – Michael Corinthos Isn’t Coping Well
Michael is currently giving Willow support, but their differences about how to handle the situation going ahead are beginning to show. Willow is concerned that Wiley will begin to notice her illness as soon as their family does. Although Michael couldn’t prove her wrong, she is in a terrible situation and they need all the help they can get. She wants to keep quiet, but he believes it’s about time they told everyone else. As he approaches his breaking point with the heartbreaking secret that is ailing him, Michael is going to eventually reveal the truth to someone else.
Distraction Doesn’t Bode Well for Michael and Willow
Their ongoing conflict will force Michael to concentrate his energy on matters that he feels he has some degree of control over, such as his plot with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) to ruin Sonny, which Willow has urged him to abandon. In a few instances, it seems like these two aren’t speaking the same language. Will Willow and Michael be able to reconcile even if Willow wins her battle with cancer?
